Facebook, Twitter, G+ – everybody is working with one or the other of these social media sites and the face of the internet is changing all the time. I find it so interesting as I watch all these groups vie for the attention of those who are interested in the actual place on the ground.
So, Waterford county Museum actually runs a very good Facebook page. ( Personally, me, Jane Lyons as Irish Genealogy, well, I’ve been on Facebook since it must be 2010 but then I fell down the stairs Jan 27th, 2011 and I can guarantee you Facebook and genealogy did not see me again until May 2012. http://www.facebook.com/irishgenealogy?ref=hl )
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to deviate there, Waterford County Museum runs a very good, active Facebook page, something new posted every day. It’s the photographs I love, they are so good. The best thing about them is the people who run the page make sure that if they have the names of the people in the photograph then they name them. It’s fantastic. Every day or every couple of days I am forwarding photographs from Waterford Co. Museum to my Irish Genealogy Facebook page.
I really really like the Waterford County Museum Facebook page and I can only highly recommend it to you all
