The Griffiths Valuation Fiche reference for Ardea Civil Parish is 5.A.6

There were four graveyards in this parish in the townlands of Acragar, Derrygile, Dangans and Portnahinch. There was a National School in Kilmainham and the Church Education Society had a School house in Dangans. The Poor House for the Mountmellick Poor Law Union was in Ballycullenbeg and the Constabulary Force had a Police Barracks in Lauragh.

Cosha Row, Foundry Street, Harbour Street, Salthouse lane, Sweetbriar lane, The Long Barn and Tracey's lane were all part of Mountmellick Town. Mountmellick Town is in the townland of Ballycullenbeg, as these streets were.
