I've decided to use my FLICKR account to upload this set of photographs to the web because with over 107 photographs it is actually one of the quickest means of putting them on the web available to me. Even at that it has taken over 2 and a half hours this morning!!

The thumbnails on this page do link to phtographs which I have put on the From Ireland web site. The outline of the remnants of the church walls is difficult enough to see as they were so overgrown. If you look at the Graveyard images you'll see that there were a number of stones which are not easily legible. I did photograph most of the stones and of those there were about 4 that are totally illigible. For some of the images even though I could make out the surnames there is little else which can be read. I have listed the surnames and placenames as seen on the stones in Crosskeys at the bottom of this page with a link to the FLICKR photo album. You will have to use your browser to bring you back to this site from the FLICKR album should you wish to return.

Placenames mentioned on the stones in this graveyard are found mainly in the civil parishes of Ballybrackan, Kilberry and Monasterevin. Kildangan is also mentioned.

Crosskeys itself is not mentioned in the Townlands Directory
