Dunbell Civil Parish, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland

DUNBELL, a parish, in the barony of GOWRAN, county of KILKENNY, and province of LEINSTER, 4 miles (S. E.) from Kilkenny city, on the road to Gowran ; containing 567 inhabitants.

This parish comprises 4299 statute acres, as applotted under the tithe act. It is a rectory and vicarage in the diocese of Ossory, forming part of the union of Burnchurch : the tithes amount to £277.

In the Roman Catholic divisions it is part of the union or district of Gowran.
