Killeen Civil Parish, County Laois, Ireland KILLEEN, A parish, in the barony of Upper Ossory, Queen's County, and province of Leinster, 2 1/2 miles (S.W.) from Durrow, on the road from that place to Kilkenny; containing 632 inhabitants. It is a vicarage in the Diocese of Ossory, forming part of the union of Aughmacart, with which parish the tithes are returned; the rectory is impropriate in the Ladies Fitzpatrick. In the Roman Catholic Divisions it is part of the Union or district of Durrow. Here are the ruins of Ballykealy castle
