TIMOGUE - A parish, in the barony of Stradbally, Queen's county, and province of Leinster, 1 1/2 miles(S. by W.) from Stradbally on the road to Ballynakill; containing 300 inhabitants.The living is a rectory, in the Diocese of Leighlin, and in the patronage of the Marquess of Lansdowne; the tithes amount to £158.1s.9d., the church is a neat structure.
In the Roman Catholic divcisions it forms part of the union or district of Stradbally.
There is a national school under the patronage of the marquess, also a school partly supported by subscription
