BRUMBRUSNA, a hamlet in the parish of LENEY, barony of CORKAKAREE, county of WESTMEATH, and province of LEINSTER, 6 miles (N.N.W.) from Mullingar; containing 16 houses and 94 inhabitants.

It is situated on Lough Hoyle, and on the mail coach road from Mullingar to Longford, and is surrounded by three lofty hills.
