Coole village, Mayne Civil Parish Co. Westmeath, Ireland

COOLE, a village, in the parish of MAYNE, barony of DEMIFORE, county of WESTMEATH, and province of LEINSTER,3 miles (w.) from Castle-Pollard; containing 341 inhabitants.

It is situated on the road from Castle-Pollard to Granard, and near the shore of Lough Derveragh, and comprises about 70 houses. Two small fairs are held on the 20th of May and November.
