KILLENORTY, or KILLENOUGHT, a parish, in the barony of PUBBLEBRIEN, county of LIMERICK, and province of MUNSTER, 2½ miles (S.W.) from St. Patrick's Well, on the road from Croom to Limerick city; containing 390 inhabitants.
The land is generally good, and is based on limestone.
It is a rectory, in the diocese of Limerick, forming part of the bishop's mensal.
In the Roman Catholic divisions it is part of the union or district of Loughmore.
