BALLINAGAR, a village, in the parish and barony of GEASHILL, KING’S county (Offaly) and province of LEINSTER, 2½ miles (S.W.) from Philipstown, on the road from Edenderry to Tullamore; containing 32 houses and 153 inhabitants.

A large and handsome Roman Catholic chapel for the union or district of Ballykean is in course of erection, in the ancient English style of architecture.
