It is clear that Railway facilities are essential for the purpose of connecting the populous Towns of Frankford, Kennitty, Clonaslee, Parsonstown, Banagher, Eyrecourt, Cloghan, Ferbane, Shinrone, Portumna, and Borrisokane, with the City of Dublin on the east and the Port of Galway on the West; the present undertaking will effect this object by a direct Line only 28 miles in extent, passing through a country free from engineering difficulties, and avoiding competition with other Lines.
From the large amount of traffic at present existing between Dublin and Towns in natural connexion with the proposed line, and the vast increase which is the necessary consequence of Railway communication, it may be confidently assumed that this undertaking will prove one of unusually great profit.
The liability of the Shareholders will be limited by the Act to the amount of their respective subscriptions, and power will be taken to allow interest upon the amount of the deposits at the rate of 4% per annum until the opening of the Line.
Applications for Shares may be addressed to the Officers of the Company, or to the several Brokers.
