Mr. Cantwell transcribed stones that had pre 1880 years on them, plus any other stones standing beside these pre 1880 stones with the same surname and a later year. He transcribed stones that were legible and so for any graveyard there may be more stones that have not been transcribed. Memorials in churches were also transcribed and those names are included in these indices.

from Mr. Cantwell's 'Wexford Memorials'. This graveyard, near Gorey, is adjacent to Kilnahue House and is of easy access. However, it is very neglected and overgrown. It is possible that there are a number of memorials still to be recorded, they being hidden in the dense mantle of briars and shrubbery which cover the ground. Two of the headstones are decorated with passion carvings, they are referred to in Mrs Leask's articles in the J. Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland, vol. LXXIII, ii, illus. pl. 1 (BYRNE, ob.1769) and vol.LXXV, ii, illus. pl .IX (Darcy, ob.1767).
