Aghnacross:
OS 30:2:3 (434,533) ‘Dysart Ch. (in Ruins), Grave Yd.’ OD 400-500 24907,18267
Church Marked on the 1563 map f leix and offaly (Hore, 1863, f.p. 345). Associated with St. Monahan wh oded in 648 (Comerford 1866, vol. 3, 105-6). Within a roughly triangular graveyard, which is defined by an earthen bank (Wth. C. 1m, int.H c. 1.1m, ext. H c. 0.5m) from NE-SE, is a nave and chancel church (L c. 12.7m, Wth., c. 6.6m., wall T. c. 0.9m) built of roughly coursed limestone. Doorway and ope in N and S walls, and ope in W gable. The segmental chancel arch (Wth. C.2.5m) is constructed of sandstone. All visible headstones postdate 1700. Reference to a cross-base built into a wall at the road side (ibid.) but of which there is no visible trae.

Graveyard has been cleaned and restored? Some stones have silver paint on them. Most were legible.
