Ardcroney Church Remnants, Co. Tipperary

Old Church Remnants,
Ardcroney,
Co. Tipperary,
Ireland.

Lewis Topogtaphical Dictionary (1837) tells us “In the R. C. divisions this parish forms part of the union or district of Modreeny, or Cloghjordan: the chapel is a small building on the townland of Ardcroney., “

and “On an eminence near the high road are the remains of the old church, forming a conspicuous ruin; and on the townland of Ballyluskey is an ancient castle, consisting of one square tower.”

I think that these photographs are of the ‘remains of the old church’ and would appreciate it if anyone from the area sees this page and could confirm that for me.  Thanks.  Jane
