The Roman Catholic Parish records for St. Michael’s parish in Limerick City begin with baptisms on 16th August, 1776 and run through until 8th Feb, 1876.

This particular set of transcriptions is for a mixed period ranging from 1845 to 1854. The microfilm ref for the National Library of Ireland is 2416.  The LDS do not have a copy of this film to the best of my knowledge.

I created this file a number of years ago and I know that at the time I was after one surname.  What you see here is not a complete transcription of all baptisms in this parish for this particular time frame.  I can tell you from my notes that I completed 13 complete double pages of records from 1853, 1854 was *very* faded.  January 1848 was very faded and very difficult to read and the page after 12th Dec 1847 was very faded.

The records are in English, for the most part first names are not abbreviated. I have noted no place names so I assume that they were not given as it is my habit to list place names when I see them in records.  Question marks indicate places where I had a problem reading a letter or a complete name.  Where I was really unsure of something I give one or two names as possibilities.
