Interestingly this section of the film is difficult enough to read.  I am from the area, in the days before Ireland had much genealogical information on the internet I had gone to the NAI and the NLI indexing the names in items such as the Griffiths Primary Valuation for Laois and the surnames of every single head of household in Laois at the time of the 1901 census.  Put all of that with my gravestone work for Laois and I think I am quite familiar with the surnames in Laois.  I still had difficulty with this parish register.

Questionmarks after a name or surname in the index show those names I was not sure of.  This may change in time as I find them written in other records and I can correct my question marks. Spellings are left as I read them, I have not changed any surname to fit with the current spelling.  The table has been sorted alphabetically by the surname of the man.
