Slieverue a parish in Co. Kilkenny bordering onto Co. Wexford.  You’ll see from all my question marks that the writing was difficult to work with, sorry.  Question marks indicate that I had trouble with a letter or name and that the name I give you is my best guess at what it should be or how it was spelled.

Baptisms for this parish:

Nov 26th 1766-April 14th, 1778 ; Feb 27th, 1781-June 25th, 1799 ; April 1777- Sept 18th 1801 ; Oct 4th, 1801-Dec 31st, 1836 ; Dec 26th 1836-Dec 26th 1880. The film reference for this set of films at the National Library of Ireland in Dublin is 5031.  The LDS do not have a copy of this film to the best of my knowledge.  If that has changed, I would appreciate it if you could let me know, thank you

From the above note, you will see that there was probably more than one church in this parish, we have records from 1766 to 1799 and also we have records for 1777-1801.

I transcribed just the names of the children, parents, date and townland for 1805.  The records were very difficult to read.  The list below is sorted alphabetically by the surname of the child, all children for whom I had difficulty reading their name are listed as the first names in the list
