St. Manman’s Roman Catholic Church,
CLonaslee,
Co. Laois (Queen’s Co.),
Ireland.

Lewis Topographical Dictionary of Ireland tells us “KILMANMAN, or CLONASLEE, a parish, in the barony of TINNEHINCH, QUEEN’S county, and province of LEINSTER, 4 miles (S. E.) from Balliboy; containing 3186 inhabitants.” Also “In the R. C. (Roman Catholic) divisions it forms the greater part of the union or district of Clonaslee, where the chapel is situated.”

In ancient times, this was called the ‘Old Chapel of Brittas’

These photographs were taken June 2014.
